Added new carriers for Prime AD and Family Plan

IF you currently sell Prime AD or Family Plan policies with Reliable Policy Management, LLC, please be aware that on September 1st, 2006, American Republic Insurance Company will no longer be the carrier for Prime AD and Lyndon Property Insurance Company will no longer be the carrier for the Family Plan.

You are required to make changes to your program setup to begin using the new carriers. Setup instructions are provided in this documentation.

For South Carolina agents, the new Prime AD carrier is Life of the South Insurance Company
For South Carolina agents, the new Family Plan carrier is Lyndon Southern Insurance Company

For North Carolina agents, the new Prime AD carrier is Triangle Life Insurance Company
For North Carolina agents, the new Family Plan carrier is American Guaranty Insurance Company

NOTE:  This change will not prevent you from being able to view existing policy summary information on Prime AD and Family Plan policies written through American Republic and Lyndon Property. However, after September 1st, 2006, no new business may be written using these carriers.

IMPORTANT: Although Prime AD and Family Plan business written with American Republic and Lyndon Property will still be accepted prior to September 1st, 2006, the new carriers are now ready to receive business. Please begin using the new carriers immediately!

Please set up the new carriers and products immediately using the steps below:

Before you begin, have your RPM agency code handy (if you do not have it memorized).
You will need it for setup. Hint: If you do not remember it, get it from your American Republic or Lyndon Property company record and write it down. To do this, from the Policy Profiler opening window, click Setup, System Files, Company Database. Locate the American Republic or Lyndon Property company record and double-click on it. Your RPM Agency Code is the number shown in the Primary Agency Account # field.

  1. On the Policy Profiler opening window, click Setup and then select System Files, Company Database.

  2. On the Company Setup window, click the Utilities tab.

  3. On the Utilities tab, click Reliable Policy Mgmt.

  4. On the Add-In Product window, the two, new carriers are shown next to the respective Type (Product).

  5. To add Prime AD or Family Plan, click on line showing the desired Company and Type
to select it and then click the Add button.

  6. The following prompt will appear: Enter Agency Number. Enter your RPM agency code
    and click OK.

  7. If you write both Prime AD and Family Plan business, repeat steps 6 and 7 to add
    the remaining product.

  8. When you have finished, "Installed" should appear in the Status column for each product
    added.

  9. Click Cancel to close the Add-In Product window.

  10. Click Close on the toolbar to exit Company Setup.

Other Important Points:

  • Once you have started writing business with the new carriers, you should go the the Company Database, locate the American Republic and Lyndon Property company records and enter N in the Add-In Company field . This will prevent American Republic and Lyndon Property from appearing in the list of add-in companies to select from when adding a new add-in to a quote or contract. This will NOT interfere with your ability to edit the policy detail or reprint old applications.

To do this, click Setup, System Files and then select Company Database. Locate the company record and double-click on it. Is this company record no longer used? is the last field shown on the page. Enter Y in this field, click Save to store the change and then click Close at the top of the screen to exit.

  • If you had American Republic and Lyndon Property add-ins set up to default on the Finance Calculator and/or Finance Contract, you will need to remove them and add new default add-in products.

To do this, click Setup, Agency Setup, Add-In Products. Remove a default add-in by pressing F7 in the Company, Type, 6mth contract and 12mth contract fields for that product. To add a new default, go to an available line, and press F1 in the Company field, click on the product name and then click OK. Then, click in the 6 mth Contract field and press F1 to bring up the default enrollment options screen for the product. Select the default units and click OK. Repeat this step to set 12mth contract defaults. Then, click OK on the Default Add-In Products screen to save all changes and exit.
