End-of-the-day closeout steps in Policy Profiler

 

Step 1: Print a Receipt Detail List

The Receipt Detail List shows all of the receipts you collected for the day. Use this list to verify your receipts.

 To print a Receipt Detail List:

1.       On the Policy Profiler main menu, enter 30 (Daily Reports).

2.       Press Enter four times to accept the date range shown.

3.       The following message displays: Generating this report may be a lengthy process. Do you wish to continue? Select Yes.

4.       On the Daily Reports menu, use the Down arrow key on your keyboard to go down the list of reports and highlight menu item D - Receipt Detail List.

5.       Press the spacebar once. A checkmark should now appear beside menu item D – Receipt Detail List.

6.       Press F10 to print the report. Do not exit the Daily Reports menu. Proceed to Step 2.

 

Step 2: Print Transmittals and Verify Receipts

Transmittals are a record of your receipts that you will upload or fax to Prime Rate. Review them carefully and make sure they are correct.

 

Remember: At this point in the process, you can always correct a receipt and reprint transmittals. Once you merge receipts in Step 3, you can no longer correct receipts.

 

 

 To print transmittals:

    1. On the Daily Reports menu, go down the list of reports and highlight menu item L – Transmittals.
    2. Press the Enter key.
    3. The following message displays: Generating this report may be a lengthy process. Do you wish to continue? Select Yes.
    4. A dialog box displays showing the date range of the receipts you have entered. Press Enter to continue.
    5. On the Transmittal Reports menu, highlight menu item B – Print All Transmittals and press the spacebar once. A check mark should now appear beside menu item B – Print All Transmittals.
    6. Press F10 to print transmittals.
    7. Leave the Transmittal Reports menu on the screen and verify your receipts. If you find an error, correct the error before continuing with Step 3. Remain on the Transmittal Reports menu and refer to the document titled: Correcting Receipt Errors.

 

Step 3: Mark Receipts

* To mark receipts:

1.       Press the Esc key on the Transmittal Reports menu.

2.       On the Mark Transactions screen, enter M to mark all receipt transactions.

Once receipts are marked, receipt transaction history is archived and appended to insureds’ profiles. To see all marked receipts, go to the Policy Profiler main menu and enter 21 – Receipt History. To view receipt history for a selected insured, go to the insured’s profile. On Tab Option menu 1, enter H for History. Then, enter R for Receipts.
